In May 2000, KSCI-TV kicked off a series of tributes that recognized individuals in the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese community who are business/civic leaders and who, despite their hectic schedules, still find time to make a contribution to their community. Lan Quoc Nguyen - Attorney, Lan Quoc Nguyen & Associate.

Mr. Nguyen is the chair of the board of directors at the Legal Assistance for Vietnamese Asylum Seekers (LAVAS). A weekly columnist on legal affairs for the Nguoi Viet Daily News, he also hosts a weekly legal affairs segment that airs on Little Saigon Radio and Television, and is a founding member of the Vietnamese-American Lawyers Association of California.
